  • The class of 2023 senior week is the first week of June, culminating in an outdoor graduation at 10 AM on Saturday, June 3. Other senior activities include the senior reception on board the "Boston Odyssey" and senior awards night.

  • 06/01 - senior awards night, 7 pm

  • Course selections have begun for students currently in grades 8, 9, and 10.

  • AHS students have the opportunity to participate in dual enrollment this summer at Massasoit.

  • Spring sports (boys’ and girls’ lacrosse, softball, baseball, ultimate frisbee, boys’ and girls’ track, tennis) began in March of 2023 for students in grades 9, 10, 11 and 12. Some sports will, also, be open to grade 8 students.

  • Students in the AHS National Honor Society continue to offer tutoring for students in grades 5-12.

  • The Fitness Center at AHS is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for supervised activity.

  • The Academic Center for Excellence continues to meet after school every Monday and Wednesday at AHS and offers students an opportunity to receive extra help and a place to complete work.

  • Tasty teas and cozy reads are available every Monday in the AHS Library on Mondays during bridge Block.

  • A variety of after-school activities continue to be offered at Abington Middle School.

  • Thanks to the National Honor Society, students may register to vote during lunches at AHS every Monday.

  • MCAS testing is scheduled to take place during the spring months.

  • Student school councils for grades 5-12 meet monthly to plan and execute service projects. 

  • The AHS Music Department continues to offer students the opportunity to learn/play instruments and join the marching band.

  • The AHS Guidance Department met with sophomores for career exploration.

  • The PTOs continue to enrich students’ academic and social lives with programs and activities.

  • The annual grade 8 semi-formal will take place on May 19, 2023.

  • Both AHS and AMS will be selling 2023 yearbooks.

  • School councils meet monthly to discuss important educational issues in individual schools and offer plans to improve academics in said schools. 

  • Camp Invention will take place this summer at Woodsdale.

  • AHS faculty members are planning the 2024 international travel trips for sophomores and juniors.
