Chester J. Millett, Jr. Award
The Chester J. Millett, Jr. Award is presented annually by the Abington School Committee to both a teacher (all certified staff) and an educational support person (all support staff) who by her/his performance has demonstrated a willingness to assume responsibilities and perform deeds well above and beyond those normally expected, thereby distinguishing themselves by their great examples, dedication, perseverance, and commitment to helping students.
Below you will find a link for the nomination form for the Chester J. Millett, Jr. Outstanding Teacher and Educational Support Personnel Award for 2023 to be used by all community members including APS staff, parents, students, School Committee Members, and the community at-large. The link to the form is also available on the Abington Public Schools website.
The deadline for online submissions is Sunday, April 2, 2023, at midnight. The award will be announced during Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week (May 8-12) and presented at the “Back to School” district-wide staff meeting in August.
Please use the link below to nominate a teacher and/or educational support personnel. Feel free to nominate as many educators as you would like for this award (submit a new form for each).
