IMPACT OF THE PROPOSITION 2 1/2 OVERRIDE
Dear Families,
As you may know, the upcoming Town of Abington Proposition 2 ½ override vote will have a direct impact on our schools and the services we are able to provide for students. If the override is successful, it will allow us to maintain the current programming, class sizes, and student supports. If it does not pass, the district will need to make difficult reductions that will affect staffing, class sizes, and opportunities for students. The list of proposed cuts can be found here:FY27 Proposed Cuts Additional budget information can be found at https://www.abingtonps.org/.
I will be hosting "Cookies, Coffee and Conversations with the Superintendent" on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 7:30am and 5:00pm at the Frolio Building (1071 Washington Street) to answer any questions you may have. I am also available via email at feliciamoschella@abingtonps.org or by phone at 781.982.2150.
Town Meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 4, 2026, at Abington High School (201 Gliniewicz Way) and the ballot election is Saturday May 16,2026, at the Beaver Brook Elementary School (1 Ralph Hamlin, Jr. Lane).
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.

PARKING LOT REMINDERS
THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IS OUR TOP PRIORITY AT AEEP. PLEASE BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE PROCEDURES LISTED BELOW:
1. PARK ONLY IN DESIGNATED SPACES. THERE ARE MULTIPLE SPOTS ALONG THE FENCE DESIGNATED FOR PRESCHOOL DROP OFF AND PICK UP. IF THOSE ARE FULL PARK IN ANOTHER SPACE IN THE PARKING LOT
2. DO NOT PARK IN ANY OF THE THOROUGHFARES. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD - CARS ARE NOT ABLE TO SAFELY NAVIGATE THE PARKING LOT WITH ROADWAY BLOCKED.
3. USE THE SIDEWALK AND CROSSWALK TO WALK YOUR CHILD TO AND FROM THE BUILDING. 4. HOLD YOU CHILD’S HAND WHEN WALKING TO/FROM THE BUILDING. IF YOU HAVE OTHER CHILDREN WITH YOU, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO HOLD THEIR HAND, AS WELL!
BIG RYAN’S TALL TALES!!!
What a fun time the students had listening to Big Ryan share his stories and puppets. We are so appreciative of the Abington Education Foundation for funding this opportunity for our students!
