The School Council advises the principal in the development of the School Improvement Plan, the Curriculum, the Student Handbook, and on matters related to school climate and safety. Council members set the dates and times of meetings. All meetings are public.

AHS School Council Meetings 2025-2026
Meetings during the 2025-2026 school year will be held from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM in the high school principal’s conference room.
Proposed meetings for the 2025-2026 school year (2:30–4:00 PM): September 30, October 28, November 25, no meeting in December, January 13, February 10, March 10, April 7, May 5, and June 9, if necessary.
