Happy Holidays!
As we head into winter break, I’d like to wish you and your family a happy and restful holiday season. Thank you for your ongoing support and for sharing your children with us each day—they truly make BBES a special place. We hope the break brings time to relax, recharge, and enjoy being together, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in the new year.

Winter Recess
We try to get outside for recess as much as possible in the colder months depending on the wind chill. On days with snow on the playground, students can bring boots and snowpants to play on the playground equipment. Students without snowpants can play recess games on the black top. Reusable bags are best for transporting snowpants and boots to school on snowy days. Also, remember hats and mittens!

Label...Label...Label
Our Lost and Found rack is full of coats and sweatshirts. If you get a chance, please stop in to check for missing items. Many times, our youngest students may not recognize that they may be missing something. Labeling items is important so that we can return the item to the classroom.

From the Nurse's Office
We want to inform you of a recent uptick in gastrointestinal illness cases within our community. As a precautionary measure to prevent further spread, we kindly request that if your child experiences vomiting or diarrhea, they stay home for a minimum of 24 hours after the symptoms have subsided. This not only aids in their recovery but also helps safeguard the health of other students and staff.
Please be informed that the spare clothes available in the nurse's office are designated for bathroom accidents only. We kindly ask parents to ensure their children have appropriate changes of clothing for other unforeseen circumstances. If your child borrows clothing from the nurse’s office we kindly ask you to wash and return at your earliest convenience.
You may contact Renee Brown, school nurse, if you have any additional questions at reneebrown@abingtonps.org

Student Information Update
As you may know, Abington Public Schools uses Aspen as our student information management system. It is critical for families to update their students’ basic information (address, phone, emergency contact, etc.) when changes occur.
