Did You Know?
Students at BBES have five specials per week with our wonderful specialist teachers! They see Mrs. Pulkinen for both PE and health classes, Ms. Vaillancourt for music, Ms. Couture for art, and Ms. Meehan for technology. Ask your child what they did during their specials!
Pokemon Cards: We ask that students leave their Pokemon cards at home as we have seen some instances of lost cards/trading at school resulting in hurt feelings. Thank you for your help with this!
Important: Dismissal Changes
For any student dismissal changes, please send a note to your child's teacher or email bbesoffice@abingtonps.org. Please do not email or send a message to your child's regarding dismissal changes in the event they are unable to check their messages or are out of the classroom for any reason that day. Thank you for your help with this!

If families would like to take their student home with them after the Fun Run, please notify the classroom teacher and students will be signed out with the teachers after their grade level Fun Run. More information about student dismissal on that day will come from the classroom teacher. We hope to see you Friday! Please see the schedule of the day below:

From the Nurse's Office:
Each school year School Nurses in the Abington Public Schools conduct selected health screenings as mandated by the MA Department of Public Health. Here at Beaver Brook Elementary all students in Grades K-2 participate in Vision and Hearing Screening. Grade 1 students will participate height, weight and BMI as well.
Screenings will be done under the direction and supervision of the School Nurse. You will be notified by the School Health Office in cases where further screening/examination by your health care provider is indicated. We ask that you always have your child’s eyeglasses available as they will be using them in the screening process.
As we start to see more illnesses as the school year gets under way, please remember the following guidelines for sending your child to school. In order to keep everyone healthy, please keep your child home until they have been fever free for at least 24 hours without the use of medications and symptoms are improving. This is also the guideline for vomiting and diarrhea - 24 hours without an instance of either. In order to return to school, your child must b If your child tests positive for an illness, please contact the school nurse.
