We are excited to announce our upcoming 8th grade trip to Washington DC. This educational journey will provide students with a firsthand look at our Nation's Capitol and its rich history. This will be our third year traveling to Washington DC with students, and I am happy to report that these trips have been fun-filled, educational experiences for both students and the adult chaperones who volunteer their time so graciously. Below you will find the trip details as well as registration links and an opportunity to attend a parent information night at AMS. If your student plans to attend, feel free to register now or wait until after the parent information session. 

• Student information session: Thursday, October 15, 2026, during the AMS advisory period.

• Parent Information Session: Thursday, October 15, 2026 @5:30 PM in the AMS/AHS/AEEP Auditorium

Dates: Thursday, June 10 to Saturday, June 12, 2027

Itinerary Highlights:

Day 1: Travel to DC, visit Udvar-Hazy Center Air & Space Museum

Day 2: Visit Smithsonian Museums, Tour the US Capitol

Day 3: Visit the Lincoln, Vietnam and Korean War Memorials, Lunch Cruise on the Potomac
