Abington Middle School

There is a Project 351 drive collecting gum packages, granola bars, fidget toys and other personal care items to make care packages for our troops and homeless veterans. The drive started yesterday and will end Friday, September 6, 2024. There is a collection box located in our AMS cafeteria for any donations. Thank you.

Instrument Rental Meeting

It’s time to make MUSIC!!! All AMS students have the opportunity to play instruments during the school year. Our Instrumental Rental Night is Wednesday, September 18th @ 7:00 pm in the AMS Cafeteria. Information will be going home with students. Instruments that can be rented are flutes, clarinets, alto saxophones, trumpets, trombones and bells. This is an opportunity to hear from Goulet & Co about how they are able to provide an instrument, accessories and repairs in a monthly subscription fee. Studying music builds lifelong skills, character, teaches discipline, improves concentration, and develops initiative and leadership. Instrumental Music lessons are during school hours and are provided free of charge during their weekly music classes! Participating in Instrumental Music provides a clear advantage in their education!

There will be an interest meeting for any students in grades 5 & 6 who are interested in joining student council on Tuesday, September 17th in Mrs. Regan's room. Interested students in grades 7 & 8 will meet in Ms. MacNeil's room on the same day. The meetings will start at 2:30 pm.
