Summer Hours & Schedule

Good afternoon Abington High School families,
Thank you for your help and support in bringing the 2025-2026 school year to a close! We finished our final day of school last Thursday as many students look forward to a busy summer of travel, work, family and friends. Our school and staff will be engaged in similar adventures, so I wanted to give you an update on our summer hours and schedule for your reference.
As general advice during the summer, it is recommended that you call or email to ensure staff availability to meet your school based needs before coming to the building.
AHS Offices Limited Availability - June 23 - July 6 - With shifting staff and vacation schedules, our offices will have limited availability through July 2, offices will be closed on July 3, and will reopen the week of July 6th. There will be limited staff in the office, and staff will have limited access to email and voicemails during this time. Please contact the Superintendent's office if there are any urgent or emergent needs.
Student Registration - Families looking to register students to Abington High School can now begin the registration process online at Online Student Registration . Guidance staff return full time in August, but the earlier the new students begin the registration process the better.
Bus Applications due by July 1st - For the 2026-2027 school year, our transportation vendor will be creating our bus routes. The routes will then be reviewed by the APS Transportation Department. All bus applications are due by July 1, 2026. Applications and payments received after July 1 will be considered late and will be honored only if space is available and if there is an existing stop on the route. If you live less than two (2) miles from your child's school OR your child is in grades 7-12, and you intend for them to ride the bus, you must submit an application. Working Permits - As students get jobs over the summer (this is a good thing) they need working permits signed off from the school. Work permits can be obtained during the summer by making an appointment with the Superintendent's Office at 1071 Washington Street. Transcripts – Every request for a transcript must be submitted by completing the transcript request form. Please refer to information on our guidance website at https://www.abingtonps.org/o/ahs/page/transcript-requests-for-ahs-graduates. Please contact the High School Main Office if there are any urgent or emergent needs.
School Year 26-27 Schedules Released - Monday August 24th - On this day, student schedules should be visible on Aspen. Guidance counselors will be back in the office on Thursday August 27th and can begin connecting with students and families in preparation for the first day of school.
