Message from Mr. MacCurtain & Ms. Sullivan

As another academic year comes to a close, we'd like to express our appreciation to our staff, students, and families for all their effort and commitment. This year has brought many achievements, from major milestones to every day successes. Our students have shown excellence in academics, the arts, and community involvement. We could not be prouder of what they have accomplished.

We are thankful for our staff's dedication to delivering high quality education for our students. Our educators bring passion to their daily work and consistently support students' success. We feel truly blessed to work alongside such a committed group of professionals.

Lastly, we extend our gratitude to our families for your ongoing support. Your participation in your child's learning makes all the difference in their achievements. Thank you for volunteering your time, joining us at school events, and maintaining open communication with us.

Enjoy a peaceful and rejuvenating weekend! The upcoming week will be shortened to four days, concluding with our final day of school on Thursday, June 12th, which is an early release day with dismissal at 11:10 a.m.

GRADE 8 MOVING UP CEREMONY

On Thursday, June 12th promptly at 8:45 a.m. due to the early release day, Abington Middle School will honor the eighth grade class at a “Moving Up Ceremony.”

We invite all parents/guardians and caregivers to enjoy this ceremony where all eighth grade students will be acknowledged for the completion of their eighth grade school year. We will also be recognizing students who have received honorary and achievement awards.

This event will be held in the Abington Middle School auditorium. We look forward to this celebratory event, and we hope that you are able to join us.

Nurse's End of Year News

The end of the school year is near, and I would like to ask those parents/guardians of students with medication in the health office to contact Joan Smith, AMS school nurse at 781-616-2951 to schedule an appointment to pick up your child’s medication by the end of the school day on Thursday, June 12th. When you pick up your child’s medication, you will find all the necessary forms for you and your child’s healthcare provider to complete prior to the start of the 2025-2026 school year.

Also, please remember to provide a copy of your child’s recent physical and immunization record to the school nurse.

I wish you a happy, healthy, and safe summer.
