June, 2022
Dear AEEP Community,
Hard to believe we are at the end of the school year! As a group we have celebrated successes, faced challenges and navigated our way through an unpredictable year. We thank our families for entrusting your precious children to us. It is an honor and a privilege to play a role in a child’s development. The children have grown in every way! Physically, the three- year-olds have bridged the transition from toddlerhood and the older students are preparing to leave us as kindergarteners. Socially, friendships have been forged– many of which will continue through their years in Abington Public Schools. All the children have gained skills in communication, motor development and foundational learning skills. Activities that once were challenging are now routine. Students are self-confident and curious learners.
I had the pleasure of attending the Abington High School graduation. As the graduates processed into the ceremony it struck me that many of the skills that have helped them succeed as young adults they began to learn during their pre-school years. Be inquisitive, ask questions, help others, be a good friend. I think all the staff would agree that the children at AEEP have accomplished all of these this year!
As the year comes to a close we want to celebrate all the learning and growth that has occurred at
AEEP! The last week of school will be a spirit week with many fun activities planned for the children.
We will be joining together as Morning (June 21) and Afternoon (June 22)
Sessions to celebrate with our families. Keep an eye on your child’s backpack for more information.
